Former President Maithripala Sirisena has informed the Supreme Court that he has paid 58 million rupees of the 100 million rupees compensation he owes in connection with the Easter Sunday terror attack.
Through his lawyers, Sirisena has requested an extension of six years to pay the remaining amount.
