The National Water Supply and Drainage Board has announced a 15-hour water cut affecting several areas on Saturday, June 29. The water interruption will occur from 9:00 AM to midnight.
The affected areas include:
- Colombo
- Dehiwala
- Mount Lavinia
- Kotte
- Kaduwela Municipal Council areas
- Maharagama
- Boralasgamuwa
- Kolonnawa Municipal Council areas
- Kotikawatta
- Mulleriyawa Regional Council areas
Additionally, the Moratuwa Municipal Council areas will experience low-pressure water supply during this period.
The water cut is necessary due to essential modernization work being conducted by the Electricity Board, which requires suspending the electricity supply to the Ambatale water treatment plant. Simultaneously, maintenance work will be performed on the water treatment system.
The National Water Supply and Drainage Board apologizes for the inconvenience caused and advises residents to store sufficient water to meet their needs during this period.
