In a dramatic turn of events, Member of Parliament Dayasiri Jayasekara has officially assumed office as the General Secretary of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP). The event took place in front of the party headquarters after police barred him from entering the premises.
Despite the initial obstacle, Jayasekara proceeded with the ceremony outside the headquarters, affirming his new position within the party.
